Chandigarh 2 “Sukhna Lake”

The memories connected with water always remain in our brain for a lifetime. I have no idea who said that but I can connect the lines with myself.

I have traveled from Hoshiarpur to Chandigarh for a Photowalk organized by Nikon, which as an amateur photographer I joined to learn more aspects of photography.

My friend Harpreet Singh joined me to explore the unexplored questions which came to mind of new DSLR holders. After completion of the Photowalk, we planned to visit the most iconic family gathering or we can say a place where a person or group of any gender, any race, any ethnicity, and any age can visit and get relaxed.

Yes as the name suggests in the heading, we have reached Sukhna Lake. Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh is a reservoir at the foothills (Shivalik hills) of the Himalayas. It was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills.

I and my friend Harpreet started using the ideas which we just received at Photowalk to capture few beautiful sceneries from our camera.

In the pictures shown here, it may be seen like the time is high rise noon, but believe me, the weather at the shore of the lake was marvelous.

The aura of the place was relaxing. People from all over Chandigarh came here at least once a week to relish the beauty of nature walk.

There is a facility of boat riding which is within itself an experience that any explorer or nature admirer wants to feel.

Soon the day starts rising more and more and we felt a bit hungry, so we planned to move ahead and went to visit the next milestone of the day “Rock Garden”. I know the feeling from water to stones is quite different but that life is.

There are ups and downs, but we have to enjoy every bit, as everything which is been created in this world and whom we can visualize is a masterpiece by either nature or human beings. So live your life every day without any hesitation.
