Achieving the top is always been a dream of every single person, the top may be in a career, in life, or like today for me, the top of a mountain.
After arrival in Beasain, I always saw a beautiful mountain too which is quite pointed, I mean, looks like a proper mountain peak, Mount Txindoki.
So earlier at the expedition of Mount Ernio, I already told you that I asked Unax to guide me on how to climb Txindoki, and for practice, Lourdes and the team led me to climb Ernio, as this was the last evening for me to stay at Beasain, so they planned an expedition for me to climb Mount Txindoki.
Unax, Lourdes, Aritz and Edurne were ready to accompany me. For them, this mountain is peanuts, and they had already climbed it multiple times.
So with proper guidance, we left the office by 3:15 pm, and this time Inaki gave me and Loudes a lift to the origin point of the trekking of Txindoki.
Like always in this Basque country region of Spain, the views were nature-friendly and asked travellers like us to be immersed in this environment.
Soon we arrived at the beginning of the trek point, where Unax was already waiting for us. We then waited for some time for Aritz and Edurne to arrive, and they didn’t take much longer and our trek team was already ready to start.
Contrary to the last time, today my feet are not having good condition as, last night I went to San Sabastian hospital with Deepak, who is a colleague of mine from India, as he was having some finger infection. But anyhow, this was the opportunity that I didn’t want to miss so by using some ointment given by the CAF medical team, I used it and by taking God’s name, I started my expedition.
The pathway was quite different from Ernio, it was filled with soft gravel at the start, but long trees overshadowed this by their huge natural beautification.
On one side there was a quiet steep wall of mountain, but on the other side was a ridge, which was getting deeper and deeper as we moved ahead.
Soon the gravel path was replaced by a rocky natural staircase, which definitely took half of my soul out of my body.
Like earlier, I was the only one who was tired every 10 minutes of walk, other than me everyone was like they were walking in gardens, just having hands in their pocket and climbing all the stairways.
The views were getting more and more fabulous as we moved further, which in short gave my mind a relaxed gesture and also motivated me to explore more. If this is the beauty at the start, then what would be the end, maybe it will be synonymous with heaven, but perhaps it will be much better than that. So with all this thought in my mind, I regained my inner power which can push me forward.
Soon we reached a midpoint, where there was a cold stream of natural water, and they all said that this is the place where everyone rest and drink some water to get energy, as the next half will not be easy. And I was like WHAT? This earlier half was just about to take my soul already, and now they were saying that the next one was tougher!
But at this instant, I had no option but to proceed as this was my dream when I first reached Beasain.
Soon we are approaching the top, but the clouds want to hug us, so they surround us from everywhere and remove all our visibility to look ahead.
But experts in mountain climbing were with me, so I did not need to worry about the path, just I need to worry about energy, which was very less in me, and in front of me was a steep climb, with rocky cum grassy wall.
One wrong grip can lead you to just roll down without any further support, so I had to watch my step closely.
As per rumors shared by my other office colleagues, this Txindoki was tough and steep, and I from day one was underestimating it.
Hell pathways for a person like me. This may be normal for all my expedition partners, as they all are from Basque country and they know how to climb or trek mountains, and also they are quite fit and maintain their fitness the most. This fitness may be the result of good working culture and real work-life balance which they feel.
Soon with lots of struggle, we are now on the top of Mount Txindoki. The “struggle” team was just specified for me, not for others. They just had a good garden walk with ease.
The time When we reached here, it was fully cloudy at the top and this area felt similar to heaven, as I was standing on a piece of rock which was from my point of view floating in the clouds.
We all had a good and happy time spent they with some photo sessions.
But one this I missed here, as this region at that time was cloudy, so was not able to see Beasain from here, as I was watching Txindoki from Beasain. But still, achieving what you always want and want to make your destiny is a different level of satisfaction.
So here at the top, we celebrated by smiling dancing, and shouting. Like this was it and this was the end of life. I just learned today that we should always celebrate every small achievement like this is the end, and this motivates us to orient ourselves to another achievement so that we again get a chance to celebrate.
So after this event of celebration, it’s time to climb down. So we started, and like always I am left behind due to my low mountaineering and trekking skills.
But what, after we started our descent, the Txindoki too was cleared of clouds, but not its not possible to climb back again, nor did I have any stamina for it.
So by putting a huge mass of stone on my intention, I proceeded to descend.
But like always, this Basque region will never let you be disappointed by views, in front of me was a grassland which just reminded me of the beautiful wallpaper of Windows XP.
The green grassland with cows grazing and bright sunshine just illuminated the aura in their natural way.
The descent was quite comfortable here, maybe my fleets are acclimatized to this type of trekking may be. But I was happy, the happiness just was at the top of my whole body Chakras, and the satisfaction was on so high that the feet joint pain was not even felt by my brain.
Again we were moving further towards the down and the aura of sunset was making a beautiful orangish tint all over the sky.
Here I also had a chance to talk to Aritz, who resembles Harry Potter in my opinion, but some others said he resembles Draco Malfoy more. But whatsoever, I came to know that he is also a travel blogger and travels a lot of places and creates content.
After having a good talk with everyone, we finally reached the restaurant which was near our parking, where like always Inaki had connected to make the restaurant open for a little longer as we were approaching.
So there we had a good dinner platter with all and many chats had been done about our lives, our office work and our future plans.
More so ever this was a very healthy chat cum dinner. Now it was time to return to the homes, and leave this beautiful memory behind, maybe for this instant, but from inside there was a sound coming that we will meet again! We will meet again at Mount Txindoki.
Now Inakii gave me a lift and headed back to Beasain. He dropped me off at the Telepizza store which is a known landmark near my apartment.
So this trek at the end closes with a great sentiment of struggle, achievement, and celebration. These three always had to be in harmony, as there is none of them existed without each other, struggle leads you to achievement and achievement makes you celebrate, and celebration again gives you motivation to struggle again so that the cycle continues. So this was my last day in Beasain and the day forth I will be leaving for Zaragoza for my next office work. So this is quite a happy end for this time for me with my beautiful Beasain.
